Here is my portfolio of some of the insurance claims & repairs I have completed since 2008.

Insurance repairs - new floor in Verwood

The above is a selection of photos of an insurance claim I worked on for a client in Verwood during 2011. The client was experiencing a number of damp problems with his flooring in the lounge of his house and he had asked me to inspect the cause. After a brief inspection, it became apparent that the floorboards were suffering from damp issues and they needed to be replaced.

The client contacted his insurers and they requested that I provide a quotation to remedy the floor. The above gallery showcases the steps taken to replace the floor, ranging from extraction of the old floor, to sand layering, insulation of heating and gas pipes, the installation of a damp proof membrane, thermal insulation, and finishing off with a concrete level, before the new floor was installed.

Insurance repairs - water leak in Ringwood

This was an emergency call out on one weekend as a result of there being a water leak in the upstairs of a property in Ringwood, that leaked through into the kitchen, collapsing the ceiling & causing decorative damage.

Upon closer inspection, the upstairs toilet had cracked and was leaking water through the floorboards and into the ceiling cavity above the kitchen. As a temporary measure to prevent further water leaking into the kitchen, I drained the toilet system down so it was dry and completed a quotation to remedy the leak at the clients request whilst they spoke to their insurers.

I was then instructed to complete the works shortly after, which resulted in the toilet system being removed and replaced, the bathroom floor being removed to clean and dry out water damage to the floorboards, and the ceiling being replaced in the kitchen, as well as all associated electrical work and painting & decorating to blend the ceiling repair in with the rest of the kitchen's decorative theme.
